Before the Great War, all of the races were under the enslavement of the [[Old Ones]]. The Great War began twenty-nine years before the first Year of the Lady, when the Sorceress of Yrazul led the slaves in a revolt against the [[Old Ones]]. The war was long, massive and deadly. Millions died in the conflicts, whole slave races were wiped out. But after twenty-nine years, it became apparent to all parties that the slaves, led by their reborn Goddess [[The Lady]], were going to win. Desperate, the [[Old Ones]] tried to revive their god, the [[Great Serpent]]. They failed to revive him, instead, all they managed to do was destroy the world.
